NASCAR 14 PS3 gamepaly - It's round 11 of my rookie NASCAR season and we're at Talladega. Flushed with my success from the previous race weekend, hopes are high for a good finish here.
The 64 car is running strong and although qualifying only 24th due to a blown engine I'd run consistently faster than the entire field in qualifying. All that was left was to translate that performance to the track on race day.
This was a really fun race with plenty of incidents in the first third of the race until things settled down a bit. By almost half distance I was running with the second bunch all fighting over the lower placings but some good drafting saw me clear the pack and break away to chase the leaders and by lap 21 I'd managed to bridge the gap, just prior to a massive crash and the third caution of the race.
After pitting to repair the car and refuel under caution, it was all down to the last fourteen laps. I knew the Chevy was fast and that if I could get away at the front I stood a good chance for a win. Now, though we were back at the rear of the pack with everything to race for.
